Download Driver Acer Ao 722: Why You Should Update Your Drivers Regularly

There have been many different recovery solutions bought to market over the years but the main issue with using a standard recovery disk, is that the operating itself can be very old with unusable drivers. Something like Windows XP was originally released in 2001, so all the associated drivers and files for that system would be very close to 25 years old. To enhance this old type of OEM recovery disk we supply you with a genuine operating system recovery Disk, driver recovery disk and a system that will scan and update your drivers live. This ensures you have the most up-to-date operating system and drivers available. Make sure that you have a valid product key, (found on the Aspire One-722 COA), as it is required to use this operating system recovery service.

Never be tempted to download a restore disk from a torrent site or from Usenet. Most of these are fake restore disks and will contain files contaminated by a Trojan or virus. We will supply you a perfect genuine and legal restore disk, supplied by a genuine Microsoft authorized digital partner or directly from the OEM manufacturer.

If you have just installed a fresh Windows 10 Home or Pro or you need to download a new fresh Windows 10 and you need a genuine Windows 10 Pro product key then this is exactly what you are looking for.

*** We do not support the 64 Bit (x64) Windows XP as it is not true 64 Bit and has many issues. All Windows 64 Bit product keys will activate a 32 Bit Windows XP so we suggest that 32 Bit Windows XP is installed instead. It is more reliable, has more driver support and is faster than the 64 Bit version.

After installing a new Windows operating system, some devices like the video, sound or maybe the wireless network will not work correctly. This is because the Aspire One-722 Windows operating system will set the computer up with with generic drivers that are designed only to operate at a very basic level. Some form of device driver is required for the hardware to operate in any way. Windows default drivers are designed so that the basic start-up requirements are met, such as being able to see some sort of display. Many driver diskss or resource diskss, as they are sometimes called, are normally just full of compressed, out of date and hard to install driver files. This driver disks will supply you with all the very latest Aspire One-722 drivers as the driver disks update system will then also go on-line, update, replace and remove any old or broken device drivers. As a free extra bonus you can use this disk up to 3 times on 3 different computers. The Aspire One-722 driver disk / ISO is supplied with the recovery software media and is not available as a stand alone item.

What a surprise! After plenty of time experimenting with this project, Ubuntu 12.04 is a Linux distribution that runs properly on this netbook with full hardware compatibility minus the issues (aside from the faint recording level of the internal microphone). Wireless works. Suspend works. The default video drivers work. All of the Linux issues previously plaguing this netbook have vanished.

Ubuntu installs its own video drivers, and they work with the ATI Radeon 6290 netbook video. Ubuntu boots into the native 1366768 resolution without needing to install the proprietary ATI Catalyst drivers.

Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit with the ATI Catalyst drivers could enter suspend and hibernation, but the display would never appear upon waking up. However, this appears to be a fault of the ATI proprietary drivers, not Ubuntu. Installing the ATI Catalyst drivers in Ubuntu 12.04 will produce the same blank display effect, making suspend and hibernation useless.

With Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit on the Acer Aspire One 722, restarting X using the Left Alt + PrtScrn + K key combination freezes the netbook and requires a forced reset. This no longer happens with Ubuntu 12.04 using the Ubuntu video drivers. Restarting X returns to the Ubuntu login screen as it should.

However, Ubuntu 10.10 has a few downsides that can cause problems. Its packages are outdated compared to Ubuntu 12.04, so compiling your own programs from source may create issues. Also, you need to use the proprietary ATI Catalyst drivers to get working video and Compiz effects, and this breaks the suspend and hibernate functions.

I know just what you are going through but have yet to find a workaround. I do notice that on my Aspire One 722 with 12.04, the suspend issue always happens when the proprietary drivers are installed, but they function properly with the default video drivers. Not sure why. Somehow, the Catalyst drivers mess things up. Not sure if this applies to everyone since Acer seems to have made slight changes in the 722 line. Updating the kernel does not fix the problem either. Still looking for a solution, though.

* If Ubuntu 12.04 suspended fine after a fresh installation (before any proprietary drivers were installed), then that might indicate the proprietary drivers are at fault. (A LiveCD might help check this without reinstalling Ubuntu.)

* If suspend does not work even after installing the proprietary drivers from the repository, then it might help to download the latest Linux driver from the Nvidia web site and install that manually. It could be that the repository drivers do not support the newer hardware in some way.

Hi everybody, i am on LinuxMint 12 and i have the same problem as everybody. All is working well but i have the same issue with the mic. The open source driver for ATI card seem to be slower and the computer heat is a bit higher than the proprietary driver. I also try Mageia 2 but i had probleme with suspend, wireless and sound. For now i hope the rest of problem will be solve soon. LinuxMint is a good distro.

However, once the Ubuntu 10.10 installation given here is complete, the results are rewarding: A fully functional Aspire One 722 running Ubuntu 10.10 with the latest kernel, the latest ATI Catalyst video drivers, and all working hardware. (The internal and external microphones record audio at levels too faint to be usable, but other than that, no other issues were discovered.)

First of all, this method is designed to be simple enough so anyone can install Ubuntu 10.10 using as much point and click as possible. This is why some steps, such as installing the video drivers twice, are redundant. There are, no doubt, better ways possible, but these steps have never let me down.

Each time you install a new kernel or revert to an older one, you must reinstall the video driver for the new kernel even though you might see the native 1366768 resolution. Otherwise, desktop effects will not be enabled.

Sometimes this step is not necessary, but this is a simple way to check. If nothing happens after clicking Extra, then desktop effects are already enabled. Ubuntu might search for available drivers. Let it complete. The screen should refresh and you should see shadows around the windows to indicate that desktop effects are active.

Are you looking driver or manual for a Acer Aspire One AO722 Laptop? Do you have the latest drivers for your Acer Aspire One AO722 Laptop? You can see device drivers for a Acer Laptops below on this page. Please select the correct driver version and operating system of Acer Aspire One AO722 device driver and click view details link below to view more detailed driver file info.

Laptop drivers are a kind of software, and therefore they are subject to all the same problems that affect the work of other kindsof programs. Keep in mind that laptop drivers may also be damaged for various reasons, such as virus-infected,or obsolete as a result of system upgrades or software changes.

Remember that is very important to have exactly the driver that is needed specifically for your hardware laptop model. Therefore, it is recommended that you search using the laptop manufacturer name and model number of each laptop.

This project was more involving than expected because the AMD Catalyst 12.4 drivers needed for the netbook do not work with kernel 3.4.0. Installing kernel 3.4.0 was the easy part and went smoothly, but reinstalling the proprietary ATI video drivers required extra time and effort.

This is a problem when updating the video drivers because the proprietary video drivers must be compiled for each kernel upgrade. Since 3.4.1 quantal linux-headers___amd64.deb is missing, the proprietary video drivers cannot be installed. The result is a bare-bones, slow graphics system. It is better to stick with an older precise kernel to get responsive, working graphics.

Go to kernel-ppa/mainline/, and download the following three files from the 3.4-precise directory. (Do not use quantal. It will not install in Ubuntu 10.10 due to the outdated libc6.)

Open a terminal and go to the directory containing the AMD Catalyst driver we downloaded earlier. Did you rename it to something simple? If so, you are going to thank yourself now. Enter this command to install the driver:

Others are having this issue, and it involves the proprietary video driver. The 12.6 beta driver produces the same error and has no effect. However, a thread on -technical-help-here/tumbleweed/475575-warning-kernel-3-4-amd-catalyst-12-4-not-compatible.html shows how to resolve this issue and make the Catalyst 12.4 driver work with kernel 3.4.0. The steps are repeated here for simplicity and with clarification.

The Compiz effects reset upon each video driver installation, so open the CompizConfig Settings Manager (System > Preferences > CompizConfig Settings Manager) and enable the effects you wish to use, such as the desktop cube.

NVIDIA drivers install as quick and easy as past NVIDIA drivers. Why AMD Catalyst drivers cannot be this simple is a mystery. NVIDIA has always offered better Linux support, and it continues to shine.

The NVIDIA and 3.4.0 kernel combination was tested on a separate system to see if the NVIDIA driver would work with the new kernel. NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-295.53.run in Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit performs brilliantly with kernel 3.4.0 without any problems. Neither is there any need to modify C source code. 2ff7e9595c
